About Peters Mountain Media
Peters Mountain Media specializes in outdoor adventure portrait photography and videography, capturing individuals in their element, whether scaling rugged peaks, getting engaged or married in the outdoors, or chasing powder. Founded by cinematographer Ella Peters, the company blends dynamic storytelling with natural landscapes to create striking, authentic imagery. With a Part 107 drone license, Peters Mountain Media also offers breathtaking aerial perspectives to enhance every shoot. Whether for athletes, outdoor brands, or personal adventure portraits, we craft fun, exciting shoots of people and the wild. Ella's main passions in life are cinematography and skiing, so being able to combine both has been a dream come true.

Why Choose Me
Peters Mountain Media has had the privilege to collaborate with a diverse range of clients, including outdoor gear brands, adventure films, documentaries, professional athletes, and lovely couples and families. Each collaboration has allowed us to capture unique stories and create compelling visual content that resonates with outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Ella has spent her whole life exploring the outdoors and capturing it through a lens. She has been on the other side of the camera as an athlete for many shoots so has a clear sense of what it is like to be on both sides of the lens.

Documentaries
"Beyond the Fantasy" is a breathtaking ski film by Teton Gravity Research that pushes the limits of imagination and adventure. Blending reality with dreamlike visuals, the film takes viewers on an exhilarating ride through the world’s most awe-inspiring mountains, where athletes defy gravity and redefine what’s possible on snow. With stunning cinematography and cutting-edge effects, Beyond the Fantasy immerses audiences in a surreal winter playground, showcasing elite skiers and snowboarders as they chase the ultimate line. As the digital editor and post-production intern, I played a key role in bringing this visionary project to life, refining its visual storytelling and enhancing its cinematic impact.
"An Open Door" is a documentary that follows the life and work of Dr. Temple Grandin, a pioneering animal scientist at Colorado State University. A leader in her field, Dr. Grandin is also a passionate advocate for neurodiversity, autism awareness, and education. The film highlights her remarkable journey—from her personal experiences with autism to her groundbreaking contributions to animal welfare and humane livestock handling. Her work has transformed industries and inspired countless individuals, making her one of the most influential figures of our time. Currently making waves on the film festival circuit, "An Open Door" was officially selected for the 2023 Denver Film Festival, a significant recognition as it seeks wider distribution. I contributed to this project as an Associate Producer, Cinematographer, and Editor, helping bring Dr. Grandin’s inspiring story to life.
"Undersized" is an inspirational sports documentary about All-American Mckenna Hofschild and Hall-of-Famer Becky Hammon, two undersized athletes who broke barriers at Colorado State University. At 5'2", Mckenna is rewriting records, inspired by Becky, whose No. 25 jersey hangs in the rafters as a CSU legend and WNBA champion. Despite their height, both overcame doubts to achieve greatness. Their parallel journeys showcase resilience, heart, and the power of role models. As Mckenna pursues coaching, the film celebrates legacy and determination. I was a cinematographer for "Undersized," capturing their remarkable story.
